How Jökulsárlón Lopapeysa was created.
I love Iceland and wanted to visit this country since I was 15. when entered the University I was searching any information about it I could find. I was living in the middle of Eastern Siberia at that time and actually speaking the town where I studied couldn't suggest much. But! I found some video cassettes and some books of Icelandic writers. I read all of them. I even tried to learn some Icelandic language. Since that time 15 years passed. I went to Iceland last year for the first time. This is amazing country!
During the trip I couldn't but bought Icelandic yarn.
The process was long. First I created the pullover for my husband.
It taught me a lot. Trial and error. And then I made the one for myself. I loved it. I just shared it on Ravelry and one woman from Alaska asked me if I could make it into pattern. If she hadn't written I would probably wait for longer to start making patterns but I decided to give it a try. I made it and shared it with her, so she could make a knit. I hope she will knit it one day.
I didn't stop and this pattern was edited and altered by me several times. I would like the product to be a high quality. I knew that if I make several sizes it is good to try them. So far I have no results from other people I have knitted a bigger size. I loved it as an oversize variant.
