Natural wool dyeing 4. Pomegranate dyeing
I think I will not write a lot but will show you the results of dyeing with pomegranate peels. I was completely taken aback by the result, even though I heard that it must be yellow, but this nice greenish yellow colour is absolutely stunning, in my opinion. Nature is wonderful!
It took 3 days in total for dyeing.
First day I just soaked peels in the water for the night. Next day I simmered peels in the water for 30-50 minutes. Then left it for the day to soak more and give colour. In the evening I soaked pre-wet yarn and left it for the night, before cleaned the coloured water from peels and pomegranate particles. On the third day I rinsed the yarn and washed it in the gentle wool soap and gave it to dry.
Here are the photos. Happy dying, knitting and crocheting!
